RESPECT FOR THE BAND'S PRIVATE LIVES Discussions about the band's personal lives (wild unfounded rumors and/or gossip) is not allowed on the list, out of respect for their privacy. Also, please do not post any e-mail addresses for contact with anyone in the band's entourage, record label, or management. 6. NAY TO STEVE VS. VIVIAN, DEF LEPPARD VS. BON JOVI In the past, the emotional Steve Clark vs. Vivian Campbell debate, along with Def Leppard vs. Bon Jovi have frequently ended in pointless arguments and flame wars. The ListOwner reserves the right to put a stop to such threads without notice. 7. POLITICAL ISSUES Political discussion, and or debate will not be allowed on the list. This includes discussion on political leaders, policy or personal position. What happens if the band are connected in some way to politics? (ie, "Def Leppard cancels tour dates because of US war.") This will be allowed as long as it doesn't incite political affliations. 8. COMMON DECENCY It is OK to have humorous double-entendres, but nothing to the point of extremely offensive levels and certainly nothing of a sexually explicit, racially charged or extremely vulgar nature. 9. THE "LOOK" OF THE MESSAGES In your list replies/posts, please delete any unnecessary text from the original message. Leaving the entire original text can be a huge pain for digest-format members who would have to sift through the same message twenty times. Please also avoid from posting one-liners to the mailing list (i.e. "Yeah!", "I agree!", or "That's right"). Finally, please do not type all in caps as it often comes across as yelling or screaming. 10. KEEP PERSONAL DISPUTES OFFLIST If you have a personal dispute with a fellow member and/or read something on the list that you find personally offensive (i.e. a flame to you, but not to most people in their interpretation), please be the bigger person and keep the dispute off-list. Adding one's emotional two cents to a flame war on-list, no matter how honorable the intention, could be interpreted as a flame in that case, and therefore a break of the rules. 11. DO NOT QUOTE MESSAGES THAT WERE MEANT TO BE PRIVATE Do not post messages to the list containing private content; do not quote or paraphrase private content that was not authorized by the other party. In the heat of a debate one party might feel a need to embarass the other by sending to the list something that was said in private, thus exposing their "dirty laundry." This will result in immediate unsubscription. However, it will be up to the listowner to determine whether it was a malicious act or just a simple mistake. 12.
